Diego Anido - Cascuda

Cascuda is a theatre piece which combines script theatre languages and clown performances, contemporary dancing… and consists of a play based in creation work made in the rehearsal room, as well as the investigations provided by its theoric base. From this conceptual “larva” comes out a cascuda (cockroach) as a ghost which shows itself coming from underground and secret, private places; and a cascuda as a buffoon which laughs at human views and laughs even at you.

Lenght: 50 minutes

Diego Anido Alonso (A Coruña, 76) started his training in Santiago de Compostela in Espacio Aberto, and collaborates with Sala Nasa in Ultranoites and Festas do Circo. From 2004, he lives in Barcelona, where he is a member of Agrupación Sr. Serrano and Raravis theatre company (Andrés Corchero-Rosa Muñoz). He is also a “resident artist” of Barcelona creating group AREAtangent, where he developed El Alemán, other short pieces, and it is also where he started to work in Cascuda. Together with his first shows, Paperboy and El Alemán, Diego Anido continuates to work in Cascuda, creating characters and athmospheres based in the vague border of common sense.
